What do you do?
I help people accomplish their real estate goals! I am a REALTOR® with Long and Foster Real Estate, Inc. I have been a REALTOR® since 2002. I help people buy, sell, and rent homes and commercial property. I am also an attorney Licensed to practice Law in Maryland and have been Licensed since 1993.
How did you get into this profession?
My mom passed after a 19-year battle with breast cancer and I went into a “funk.” So, I stopped practicing law and did some other endeavors. A few years later with children ages 1, 3, and 5, I needed a career with flexibility so I could help my wife take care of the children. Many years prior I worked full-time during the day as a carpenter for a local custom home builder while I went to college full-time at night. Since I had some “house/construction knowledge” a relative suggested I become a real estate agent. When I first started I would take my 1 year old with me to work and appointments in her car seat. J Since I started I have been the Office Top Producer in years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2015.
How does being organized help you with work?
I have my own personal organizational skills and without them I would not be successful. I needed organizational skills when I actively practiced law—I had to keep track of dozens of cases, court dates, filing deadlines and more. My skills have carried over to my real estate practice. Being organized allows me to have a productive day. I use “To Do” lists everyday and I constantly edit and update the lists throughout the day to keep me productive and moving forward.
What do you do to help your clients take control of their life?
I help my clients take control of one of the most important aspects of their life—where they live! To do this—I ask my clients to tell me their goals and then WE accomplish them together. I help guide them based on what they tell me—the what, where, when, how much, must-haves, must-have nots, and more!
Sappari Solutions is founded on 7 Core Values, which one speaks to you?
OMG—ALL 7 “speak” to me. In my profession, I need to be a real estate agent; an attorney; builder; and, sometimes a therapist. Compassion—sometimes people are selling a home because they must do so because of death, divorce, or some other financial hardship and Compassion is a must to help them through. Professionalism—Strive to be the best at what you do. Problem Solving—Every real estate transaction has an issue so you must sometimes “think outside of the box” and be a creative thinker.
Communication—DUH—So obvious a concept and so many agents fail to do it. You MUST keep your client informed and up to date with what is happening with THEIR transaction. Continuous self-improvement—I try to learn something new EVERYDAY! Always Looking up—Be happy you are alive. Cherish every day; your family; and, friends. It makes life easier. Knowledge transfer—I always try and help my clients learn about their home; the process; and/or, identify issues and create solutions.

You can achieve peace and calm
It’s time to get out from underneath the clutter. And it is not just physical clutter that is holding you back from living the life of your dreams but the clutter in your schedule and your mind. The focus for you right now needs to be on identifying the issues, finding their source, letting go of that stuff that is holding you back. You need to set goals and prioritize around what it is you are trying to achieve and why that is important to you.
