Mindset is such a crucial part of success – and talked about often. But there’s one person who really took the time to research this area and then put all that she learned into a book that is totally captivating on this subject – and that’s Carol Dweck. And her book is Mindset: The New Psychology of Success.
I know that some of you have read this book (and probably re-read it multiple times), but if you haven’t, this is one for your bookshelf!
Amazon says: “After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck, PhD, discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she shows how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. People with a fixed mindset – those who believe that abilities are fixed – are less likely to flourish than those with a growth mindset – those who believe that abilities can be developed. Mindset reveals how great parents, teachers, managers, and athletes can put this idea to use to foster outstanding accomplishment.”
And maybe that’s why I love this book so much – because it’s a book for just about everyone! (Yes, I have applied what I learned in this book to my parenting!)
If you haven’t read it – all I can say is this is a must-read! You’ll get so much out of it!
